I purchased a 2 bar mallet on vacation a few weeks ago. I have had a chance to putt with this putter now for practice purposes and it has made the play line up. This may be the best technology as far as I am concerned on the market. I am a scratch amatuer player and have played proffesional on three tours. First and foremost I would like to say that I am not one to promote products. I've seen enough infomercials with game improvement products that in my belief are an insult to the Consumer, but are validated by the Face in the add. When I saw the Guerin 2 Bar Putter I took notice. I am a longtime Golfer and Machinist by Trade and know a quality product.The design and technology are rock solid, and are a no brainer. The design of the face gets the ball rolling on impact. The two bar allignment makes aiming easy. You can adjust the lie to your personal style and the adjustable weight system gives you further tuning options. If you know Golf, you know where most strokes are lost in a round of Golf, that's right, on the Greens. For those of you who think nothing of spending $500 for a Driver that will impact your Game very little. Get some bang for your Bucks and invest in a Tool that can save you strokes because you don't have to adjust to it, it adjust to your Game.

I had been using a Cameron Futura putter for most of last season and just couldn't get it to work for me. Someone told me about the 2 bar blade and I bought one. I absolutely love it. I received my Guerin Rife putter today and of course had to go out and give it a try. There were about five of us on the practice green and after about 30 minutes a fellow member that I had never met came over and said, " Don't you ever miss?"

Last weekend I played with the 2-Bar Mallet putter for the first time after having a horrible putting round the week before and taking my Scotty Cameron Futura out of my bag.I was late getting to the course last Saturday so I had no time to practice with it before playing. On the very first hole I drained a curving down hill 15 footer right in the heart of the cup! That was just the start. I was sinking putts from every distance. Uphill, downhill, sloping, and even from off the green.

Two of the people in my foresome, who I had never played with before, commented on what a fantastic short game I had. ( If they had only seen me the week before!) My good friend Bob wouldn't even look at me after the 15th hole because we were betting and he couldn't believe all the putts I was making. The putter felt great in my hands and inspired such confidence after the first couple holes that I felt I could make every putt I looked at. The visualization of the "Train Tracks" really helped me see the line and the roll was so true off the face that my only regret was that I didn't buy one sooner.

Congratulations! You have a great product. I putted with my new Two Bar Mallet yesterday and have never putted that well. I received my putter on Tuesday. I practiced with it for 30 minutes that day and played my 1st round this morning. I am in love with it. felt like I couldn't miss. NO 3 putts all day. made 4 birdies on the front nine. A 7 footer on #1. On #6 I made a 30 foot up hill putt. On #7 I made a 25 footer accross a gentle down slope to gentle upslope to a another gentle downslope to in the heart of the hole right at the bottom of the downslope. On #9 I made a 35 footer across a severe right to left slope down hill to in the heart. My playing partners were crying severly at this point. Thanks for a great product. I bought the 2 Bar Mallet and must say it is simply the best putter I have ever played. The ball rolls 100% true with 0% bounce or skip at impact. If anyone is serious about lowering their scores, this is the place to make the investment. Forget about spending a small fortune on another driver. Put your money into this putter. I played the best round of the year, course just opened a week ago for the 2005 season, and shot a 76. The putter was the difference. This putter is better than the 2-ball, Scotty Cameron, Etc. Just buy it and you will experience the very same result... the best putting of your life.

I got to use the putter on the course yesterday (3/1/05). To say that the 2 bar has soft is an understatement! I wasn’t even sure I was hitting a golf ball it was so soft. Also, I now realize I have to work on my alignment. Wherever I started the ball, that is exactly where it went, which just pointed out the flaw in my alignment. I can’t blame missed putts on grain, the wind, or movement of the Earth any more thanks to the Two Bar!

I just got a Guerin Rife 2-Bar Mallet with a weight kit. I wanted to find out if all of the hype is true. The putter comes with a lie adjuster, a Jim McClean/Ian Baker-Finch Tape and I got the optional weight kit.

Appearance/Set up

Great looking putter with pronounced center line. The two bars and the center line make for a very strong alignment aid. The putter has a notch that when lined up properly with the center line insures exact loft and lie every time. You can adjust the lie of the putter to your preference.

Feel

Very good feel, very soft feeling almost like an insert. Easily better feel than my Yes Natalie or even the Scotty Camerons that I have tried lately.

Head Weight

The putter stands out in this regard. It ships with a 360 gram head weight. The weight kit comes with two 22.5 gram weights and two 12.5 gram weights. I assume that the two weights installed in the back cylinders are 17.5 grams each.

How Does it Work

Very well. The feel gives you confidence. I had to putt with it a while to feel comfortable releasing the club head because of the weight. However, the ball seems to stay on the face for extra control so the extra weight does not seem to cause distance control problems. The head weight and roll groove technology make for a real tight roll with great accuracy. The accuracy, I might add, is greatly enhanced by the killer alignment system. With this tight of a roll, the 2-Bar will work on fast or slow greens. Of course, with the head weight being adjustable from 350 to 370 grams, it can be adjusted to any speed greens. I was missing putts slight to the right so I put a 22.5 gram weight in the Heel-side cylinder. Instant correction. The ball started going dead straight. I don't know about adjustable weighting for drivers, but it definitely makes sense for putters.

How Does it Compare to other putters

I compared the 2-Bar side-by-side with a Yes Natalie and a Nike T100 Mallet.
The Nike with the Blue chip insert and the 100 gram weight plug in the rear is a high MOI putter with good feel and great direction stability. I like this putter but the 2-Bar was simply better in every category especially after I got use to it. Better feel, accuracy and distance control. I consider the T100 very good in all of these areas. The Yes Natalie had a better chance with it's great accuracy and superior alignment. Two major differences. The Natalie has a 355 gram head and forgiveness is nothing to write home about. On well struck putts, it is awesome, but it requires a good putting stroke. The 2-Bar has the same accuracy or better with a ton more of forgiveness. You just don't have to put that that good of a stroke on the ball.

Conclusion

This is a great putter regardless of what type of putter you use. Great touch, great accuracy, great head weight that is adjustable and a killer alignment system for $189 plus shipping and a 30 day return policy. It might be worth a try

I just wanted to let you know that when I got home at midnight from work the Two Bar putter was here waiting for me. So I had to take it for a test spin this morning without watching the DVD or anything. Man do I like this putter, and if I had had a clue as to how good it was going to feel on the greens not only would you have gotten emails I would have been on the phone every other ring wanting to know where my putter was. Thanks again for building a world class putter and I'm sure from what I experienced this morning on the greens I'm going to grow to appreciate your craftsmanship even more as time goes on.
